Wendy Bell is a 21-time Emmy Award-winning journalist whose storytelling and news anchoring on national and local television earned her four Edward R. Murrow Awards and dozens of other broadcasting accolades. She is the host of the Wendy Bell Radio Show heard nationwide weekdays from 9AM until noon. Born in Chicago and raised in Calabasas, California, Bell landed a national TV job straight out of grad school at the University of Missouri and enjoyed 24 years in television, working in New York City for the newsmagazine “American Journal” and for NBC affiliate KSDK in St. Louis. It was in the Show Me State where Wendy met her husband, Joe. She followed him to his hometown of Pittsburgh so he could pursue his medical career. As he completed his residency and fellowship in interventional cardiology, Bell became the main anchor and most decorated reporter at Pittsburgh’s ABC affiliate, where she worked for nearly 20 years. Wendy made the transition to radio in 2018 as the lone conservative female voice on southwestern Pennsylvania airwaves, hosting an afternoon-drive radio program on KDKA 1020AM. In less than one year, Bell’s talk show jumped from 17th to second place in the ratings, handily beating Sean Hannity. Known as a common-sense conservative, Bell has an explosive social media presence on the Wendy Bell Radio Network app, Wimkin.com, and YourNews.com, where her videos have received more than 60 million views. Wendy’s followers hail from all fifty states and several dozen countries, with three-fourths of her fans being women between the ages of 35 and 54. Wendy also hosts “Common Sense,” a weekly news/opinion program on Newsmax TV. Common Sense airs Saturdays at 4:30PM EST, with a rebroadcast Sundays at 3:30PM.
